Born on October 4, 1944, in Madrid, Spain, she earned the nicknames "La Española más Mexicana" (The Most Mexican Spaniard) and "La Reina de las Rancheras" (The Queen of the Rancheras). Dúrcal passed away on March 25, 2006, in Torrelodones, Madrid, Spain, at the age of 61 due to uterine cancer. She was married and was a mother.
