Rockets, originally known as Crystal, formed in Paris, France, in 1972. They changed their name to Rocket Men (or The Rocketters) in 1974, adopting an extraterrestrial theme with five bald members featuring gray eyes and silver skin, and recorded the single "Rocket Man" with a producer who remained with them until 1983. In 1975, they became known simply as Rockets and released the single "Future Woman." Their first LP, "Rockets," was launched in 1976, accompanied by a series of phantasmagorical live shows that featured vocoder, lasers, colored lights, smoke, and a 10-foot-long bazooka shooting flames. Their next album, "On the Road Again," was released in 1978 in numerous countries, including an American release under a specific label.
