Rocky Roberts was an American singer born in Miami on August 23, 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a welterweight championship boxer before gaining recognition in music with the Airedales, recording in both the U.S. and France. In the latter half of the 1960s, he relocated to Italy, where he recorded most of his songs as a solo artist and appeared as a guest on various popular TV music shows. Despite his American accent, he achieved significant success with the hit "Stasera Mi Butto" and became well-known for his energetic Italian-language cover versions of soul hits, both live and on record. Rocky Roberts passed away in Rome on January 13, 2005.
