Roger King Mozian was born on June 29, 1927, in New York City, New York. He was a multifaceted artist known for composing, arranging, conducting, and choreographing, as well as playing the trumpet and bongos and dancing. Mozian gained recognition for leading bands that performed Latin dance music and created progressive records such as "Changa Rock" and "El Twist," both of which incorporated hybrid Latin and rock elements. His Oriental-Latin composition "Asia Minor" also garnered attention, reflecting his Near-East background. He is also mentioned as using the alias Rogelio Conquistador, although this requires further investigation. Mozian passed away on May 16, 1963, in Yonkers, New York.
