Roland Clark is an American house music DJ, producer, songwriter, and vocalist known for his contributions to the dance music scene. He has used several aliases, including Jesus Jackson, Digital Pimps, Dark Clark, and South Street Player, and is a founding member of the dance music project Urban Soul. Clark learned songwriting from his childhood mentor, Calvin Gaines. He has collaborated on notable projects such as "Flowerz" by Armand van Helden from the 1998 album 2 Future 4 U, and has lent his writing and vocal talents to artists like Todd Terry, David Guetta, Katy Perry, Armin Van Buuren, Duke Dumont, Dimitri Vegas, and Vintage Culture. Clark was featured on two Fatboy Slim songs, "Star 69" and "Song for Shelter," both of which sample his song "I Get Deep" and appear on Fatboy Slim's 2000 album Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars. In 2017, "I Get Deep" was sampled again in Katy Perry's "Swish Swish." His 2006 track "Running on Sunshine," performed under the Jesus Jackson alias and co-recorded with Fatboy Slim, has been featured in various ABC programs, including Grey's Anatomy and Men in Trees. Currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Roland Clark has also started a record label called Delete Records, which is distributed by Labelworx.
