Roland Kave, known as the "Mambo King" of Washington, DC, was a renowned dance teacher and bandleader. Born on February 16, 1931, he dedicated his career to teaching and performing at notable venues such as the Tropical Room at the Dunbar Hotel, the Casbah, and McEwen’s Capital Caravan Ballroom throughout the 1950s. He passed away on November 11, 2017.
