Rollins Band was an American rock band led by singer and songwriter Henry Rollins. The group formed when Rollins and his friend, guitarist Chris Haskett, teamed up with the rhythm section of bassist Melvin Gibbs and drummer Sim Cain. They released several albums, including "Life Time" (1988), "Hard Volume" (1989), and "The End of Silence" (1992), before drummer Greg Weiss departed and was replaced by Sim Cain. Their fourth album, "Weight," was released in 1994 and featured the hit "Liar." Rollins faced a lawsuit with his former label, contributing to delays in the recording of the band's next album. "Come In and Burn" was released in 1997, but the group disbanded by the end of that year. In 1998, Rollins collaborated with a local LA group to explore new song ideas. When it was time to tour, he was advised to retain the "Rollins Band" name for this new lineup. They released "Get Some Go Again" (2000), "Nice" (2001), and "A Nicer Shade of Red" (2001) before disbanding in 2003. The Rollins/Haskett/Gibbs/Cain lineup had a brief reunion in 2006.
