**Bio: Roman Stewart** Born in 1957, Roman Stewart was the younger brother of an unnamed individual. He began singing on the streets for money as a child and made his first recording at the age of 11 in 1968. His breakthrough came in 1974 with the hit "Hooray Festival," followed by "Hit Song" in 1976. Roman recorded for some of the biggest Jamaican producers and is well-known for his famous track "Rice And Peas," which he recorded in 1979. In 1976, he emigrated to New York, where he lived for the rest of his life, recording tunes occasionally. Roman Stewart passed away in January 2004 due to a heart attack.
