Ron Banks, nicknamed "Banko," was born on May 10, 1951, in Detroit. He founded the Dramatics while attending Cleveland Jr. High. His brother also pursued a career in music, singing with a group. Ron passed away at his home in Detroit on March 4, 2010, due to a myocardial infarction.
