Ronald Frangipane, born on July 26, 1944, in Brooklyn, N.Y., was an Emmy award-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, conductor, arranger, orchestrator, musical director, and Grammy-nominated producer. He was also a Clio award-winning jingle writer and a tenured professor of Music at Monmouth University. Frangipane was involved in numerous Gold and Platinum certified records throughout his career. He passed away on April 25, 2020, in Tinton Falls, N.J. Frangipane began his musical journey as a child playing the accordion, later studying piano, saxophone, and clarinet to join his high school band. By age 15, he formed his own band and played throughout New York and New Jersey, placing in the top 5 in various accordion competitions. He attended The Eastman School of Music, The Juilliard School, and earned a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Goddard College. While at Eastman, he became the youngest summer replacement pianist for Zero Mostel's role as Tevye in "Fiddler On The Roof" on Broadway. From 1967 to 1982, Frangipane worked in the record industry while also engaging in film, theater, and jingle writing.
