Ronnie Dawson (1939–2003) was an American rockabilly and rock ’n’ roll singer, guitarist, and drummer whose dynamic style embodied the raw energy of mid‑century American music. Emerging in Texas during the 1950s, he became known for his explosive stage presence and sharp blend of rockabilly, rhythm and blues, and early rock ’n’ roll. After early recordings like “Action Packed” gained cult status, Dawson experienced a major revival in the 1980s and 1990s, touring internationally and earning recognition as a true torchbearer of authentic roots rock.
