Rootsman was a Tobago-born calypso artist whose career began in the late 1970s. He gained recognition for his popular hits, including "Miami Vibes," "Rack Mih Rack Mih," "Parkway Rock," and "Soca in the Palace." Rootsman passed away on August 21, 2015.
