Rosa Morena was a renowned singer and actress born on July 11, 1940, in Badajoz, Spain. She became a popular flamenco pop icon and won the American Critics Association Award of New York in 1964. In 1970, she represented Spain at the X International Festival of Split, where she won the Critics Association Award for her performance of "Tú no me la das." That same year, she also represented Andorre at the V Festival Internacional da Canção in Rio with the song "Como un pájaro," earning the Critics Association Award of Rio. Additionally, she won the Montjuich Song Contest in 1972 with her song "El Berebito." Rosa Morena passed away on December 4, 2019, in Badajoz, Spain, after battling cancer.
