Rochelle Fleming, born on February 11, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA, is best known as the lead singer of the disco group First Choice. She possesses one of the most distinctive and enduring voices of the disco era, showcasing a vocal range that spans from breathless urgency in their hit "Armed and Extremely Dangerous," to saucy, energetic sensuality in the dance classic "Let No Man Put Asunder." In 1987, Fleming reformed a version of First Choice alongside her cousin Laconya Fleming and Lawrence Cottel, recording the single "Love Itch" for Prelude Records. Throughout the 1990s, she continued to record music both in the U.S. and Europe, including songs like "Danger!" and "Suffer the Consequences" for Cutting Records.
