Rubin Steiner, born Frédérick Landier on October 30, 1974, in Tours, France, is a musician and disk jockey specializing in electronica. He is proficient in guitar, bass, and keyboards. From 1992 to 2002, he worked as a radio presenter for Radio béton in Tours, showcasing a variety of genres including free jazz, electro, punk, and experimental music. Steiner organized concerts in Tours, edited a music fanzine, and was a guitarist in the group Merz from 1996 to 1998. His musical influences encompass jazz, hip hop, punk rock, 1980s American music, and pop, which he blends into albums that feature styles such as electro-jazz, electronica, krautrock, pop, punk disco, post-punk, house music, and techno. In 2006, he was nominated for the Victoires de la musique for his album Drum Major.
