Ruddy Thomas was a Jamaican singer born on July 12, 1951, in Kingston, Jamaica. He began his recording career in the early 1970s and later joined Joe Gibbs' studio band in 1975, where he contributed as a percussionist. Throughout the 1980s, he became a busy recording engineer, particularly at Dynamic Sounds, while also performing as a solo artist on a British label and collaborating in duets with female reggae singers. Tragically, Ruddy Thomas passed away on June 10, 2006, while performing on stage in Port Antonio, Jamaica.
