Rudy Hansen, originally from Germany, grew up on a farm in New York. In the late 1950s, he gained fame as a star on the WLW Midwestern Hayride in Cincinnati, where he earned the nickname "Rockin' Rudy Hansen" due to his enthusiastic performance style.
