Rush is a Canadian heavy progressive rock trio formed in 1968 in Toronto, Canada. The band disbanded in 2018 after announcing the retirement of their drummer, Neil Peart, due to health reasons. In January 2018, it was stated in an interview that Rush's career had come to an end. Tragically, Peart passed away on January 7, 2020, after a three-year battle with glioblastoma, with the news officially announced on January 10, 2020. On October 6, 2025, the surviving members of Rush announced a reunion tour for 2026, with a new drummer substituting for Peart.
