Russ Henderson was a Trinidad-born, UK-based pianist and steel pan player, known for being one of the founders of the Notting Hill Carnival. He was born on January 7, 1924, and passed away on August 18, 2015. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the MBE in 2006.
