Ruth Christie, born in Los Angeles, CA in 1939, is a talented songwriter and music producer. Along with Cathy Saunders (also known as Paula Sapp and Paula De Pores) and Orena D. Fulmer (also known as Rena Wright), she co-wrote many songs under a collective name. The trio recorded "Strange Kind Of Love" as The Honeycombs for the Pro label. In 1959, Ruth founded Tide Records and soon after established its sister label, Edit.
