Ruth Radelet is an American dream-pop musician, singer, and songwriter, born on April 28, 1982, in Portland, Oregon. She joined the band after it relocated from Seattle, Washington, in 2004. Radelet's first album as vocalist and guitarist with the band was the cult release "Night Drive" in 2007, which marked a significant shift in their sound by incorporating elements of synth pop and post-punk. After the band disbanded, Radelet went on to release solo work.
