Saâda Bonaire is a dance, disco, and world music project duo from Bremen, Germany, formed in 1982 by DJ Ralf Behrendt. The project features two female vocalists, Stefanie Lange and Claudia Hossfeld, and has collaborated with numerous local musicians from the immigration center. They were originally signed to EMI in 1982 and released their first and only single, "You Could Be More As You Are," produced in Kraftwerk’s studio by Dennis Bovell. The single also featured jazz icon Charlie Mariano on saxophone, resulting in a unique fusion of husky female vocals, Eastern instruments, dub, African music aesthetics, drum computers, and synthesizers.
