Sadie Sads is a gothic/post-punk/avantgarde band from Japan, formed around 1984. The band draws inspiration from British post-punk music, industrial music, and Neue Deutsche Welle, and is recognized as part of the early Japanese gothic/deathrock/positive punk scene, alongside acts like Auto-Mod, Phaidia, and G-Schmitt. The current lineup includes Sad on vocals and bass, Igarashi on guitar, Kazumi on bass, and Kan on drums. Former members include Takeshi, who played slide, effects, and sax; Hidemi on guitar; Ohta on drums; and Furuya on trumpet.
