Salif Keita, born on 25 August 1949, is an internationally recognized Afro-Pop singer and songwriter from Mali. Known as the Golden Voice of Africa, he is unique due to his status as an albino and as a direct descendant of Sundiata Keita, the founder of the Mali Empire.
