**Bio: Saloua (Fitouma Lemitti)** Saloua, born Fitouma Lemitti in 1941 in Blida, Algeria, is a renowned Algerian singer. She began her artistic career in 1952 as an animator at Radio Algiers, where she conducted a children's program under the direction of Réda Falaki. Amidst the Algerian War for Independence, she moved to Paris in 1956 to work with a French radio station, leading a program for the Arab female audience. In 1960, she met the Algerian composer Al Missoum, who was seeking interpreters for his renewed vision of classic Algerian music. Saloua's collaboration with him produced significant hits, including "Kif Rayi Hamelni," "Ma tahleflich," and "Lalla Amina," the latter becoming one of the best-selling albums of 1962. With her career flourishing, Saloua participated in various radio shows and embarked on a tour of Arab countries in 1964, establishing herself as an ambassador of Algerian song. The death of Al Missoum in 1969 prompted a shift in her musical style, leading her to explore the Andalusian Arab genre under the guidance of composer Merzak Boudjemia, whom she later married. Saloua's career continued to thrive, and in 1982, she appeared in her only film, "Hassen Taxi," alongside actor Ahmed Ayadb
