Sam Fan Thomas, born in 1952, is a renowned Cameroonian musician known for his association with Makossa. He began his musical journey in the late 1960s and achieved his first hit with the song "Rikiatou." His album, "African Typic Collection," released in 1984, became an international success and is considered his most notable work. Thomas started his career in the early 1970s as a guitarist for the Cameroonian band Tigres Noires, remaining with the group until 1976, when he chose to pursue a solo career.
