Sam Jam was a Canadian disco-funk band from Montreal, active in the 1970s. The group consisted of Réjean Ruel, who was previously a keyboard player for a 60s garage-psych band, Roberto Biagioni on bass, Réal Larouche on guitars, and Michel Taillon on drums and percussion. They released three singles and one long out-of-print full-length album during their time. Produced by Yves Ladouceur, their recordings encapsulated the vibrant spirit of the late 70s and early 80s club scene. With infectious grooves and uplifting vocal chants, several of their tracks became dancefloor favorites, energizing both clubs and radio stations.
