Sammy Masters was an American songwriter, performer, and record label owner, born on July 18, 1930, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, USA. He displayed musical talent from a young age, making his debut at the age of twelve on the radio station KTUL in Tulsa. In 1960, he achieved chart success with his single "Rockin' Red Wing," which reached #64 in the U.S. and #36 on the U.K. charts. In 1962, Masters founded his own record label, which primarily released country singles. He passed away on March 8, 2013, in Garden Grove, California, USA.
