Sandy Nelson was a renowned drummer and session musician, born on December 1, 1938, in Santa Monica, California, USA. He gained fame as one of the best-known rock drummers of the early 1960s, achieving several solo instrumental Top 40 hits and releasing over 30 albums throughout his career. Nelson also contributed as a session drummer on many other well-known hits. He passed away on February 14, 2022.
