Saodaj is a musical group from Reunion Island, embodying a fresh Reunionese and modern Pan-Indian Ocean style influenced by Southern and Austronesian elements. Since its formation in 2012, the group has been creating a nomadic maloya that explores various identities by integrating new influences. With a foundation of traditional percussion from Reunion and beyond, Saodaj delves into poetic themes that reflect on the beauties and excesses of contemporary life.
