Sara González was a Cuban singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in La Habana on July 13, 1951. She passed away in La Habana on February 1, 2012. As one of the founders of the "Nueva Trova Cubana" movement, she collaborated with notable artists such as Pablo Milanés and Silvio Rodríguez. In the early 1970s, she joined the group "Los Dimos" and later performed as a duo. In 1972, she became part of a significant musical collective. Her discography includes works such as "Versos José Martí" (with GESI), "Sara," "Cuatro cosas," "Con un poco de amor" (with Grupo Guaicán), "Con apuros y paciencia," "Si yo fuera mayo," "Mírame," "Sin ir más lejos – Homenaje a Marta Valdés" (with Marta Valdés), "Son de ayer y de hoy," "Cantos de mujer," "Cantos de mujer Vol. II," and "Sara siempre."
