Saxon is a heavy metal band hailing from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. The group originated from a collaboration between two bands: SOB, featuring Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson, and Coast, which included Biff Byford and Paul Quinn. Initially named Son Of A Bitch, they changed their name to Saxon in 1977. The current lineup consists of Biff Byford on vocals, Doug Scarratt and Brian Tatler on guitars, Nibbs Carter on bass, and Nigel Glockler on drums.
