SBB, known as the most prominent Polish progressive rock band, has been performing for over 45 years. Originally named Silesian Blues Band, their sound aligns more with British symphonic prog and jazz rock, featuring extensive improvisation during live performances. The band gained early international experience, playing in various cities and smaller towns in Sweden in 1975, and at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark in 1978. They also performed in several cities across West Germany and Esbjerg in Denmark during that time. In the past 15 years, SBB's recordings have been released on CDs and vinyl, including a series of "Live Cuts" double CDs from the late 70s. Notable releases include a double CD recorded at the popular beach resort Sopot near Gdańsk in 1979 and "Live In Czechoslovakia 1980," which features a memorable performance in an unknown location in June 1980, during which Józef Skrzek missed his train, leading the rest of the band to perform without him.
