Scattered Order is a post-punk band formed in 1979 in Sydney, Australia. Over the past four decades, they have consistently challenged the expectations of their peers and fans through a prolific and eclectic series of releases, demonstrating that longevity and reinvention can coexist. The band played a crucial role in shaping the post-punk and industrial scenes in Australia during the early 1980s, offering their innovative interpretation of the groundbreaking music emerging from Europe and the U.S. They also contributed to the formation of a like-minded community through their M Squared record label, which was home to influential bands such as Systematics, The Makers Of The Dead Travel Fast, and Ya Ya Choral.
