Schonwald is a musical duo hailing from Ravenna, Italy, comprised of members Alessandra Gismondi and Luca Bandini. Known for their hypnotic minimalist sound and noise inclination, Schonwald draws inspiration from iconic bands such as Suicide, New Order, and The Cure, blending these influences with synth melodies reminiscent of the ’80s. Their debut album, "Amplified Nature," was released in February 2009 as a special vinyl edition that included a CD, under Pocket Heaven Records (Lux). Schonwald made their live debut at the "Myogenic Festival" in London, and the album has been supported by four European tours across Italy, England, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Germany. Despite the Germanic name, Schonwald is the first Italian band signed to HoZac, and they have been making waves in the European underground scene for several years. Their music is characterized by a pulsing, atmospheric electronic vibration that is cold, hypnotic, and simple, making it a perfect fit for the modern world.
