**Scorn** is an electronic project from Birmingham, England, formed in 1991 by Mick Harris and Nik Bullen. Initially, Scorn was associated with industrial and experimental music. After Bullen's departure in April 1995, Harris continued the project as a solo endeavor, focusing on minimalist beats and deep bass lines, often influenced by dub and trip-hop. The project paused in May 1997 but resumed in March 2000, only to halt again in November 2011. Scorn officially restarted in January 2019, and in June 2022, Harris teased a new album featuring guitars by Justin Broadrick. However, in August 2023, Harris announced that Scorn was "dead" again since late 2022, stating it was a mistake to revive the project after 2012. The final performance took place on October 1, 2022, at the Golden Cabinet in Shipley, UK. On December 19, 2023, Harris confirmed that "Scorn is dead long dead." The final lineup consisted of electronics (1991-1997, 2000-2011, 2019-2022) and drums (1991-1994). Former member Nik Bullen contributed vocals, bass, and electronics from 1991 to 1995. Scorn also featured various session and live musicians throughout its history, contributing guitars, rap, didgeridoo, and drums on several tracks and albums.
