Scott Lavene is an Essex-born musician whose journey has been shaped by power ballads, punk, and a rebellious spirit. He began playing in bands during his teens, navigating through various deadbeat jobs while searching for his musical identity. After spending time in France and a brief period in New York, where he performed at the iconic CBGB's, Scott returned to London and nearly secured a major label deal with his raw and candid songs. However, he chose a different path, disappearing for five years on a dilapidated boat, living in solitude and grappling with his struggles. Following this period, he sought help in a house for the bewildered, emerging revitalized and inspired to create music. His self-released album with the band Big Top Heartbreak led to a solo signing with Funnel Music. Scott's first single, "It’s All Gonna Blow," gained airplay on Steve Lamacq's BBC 6Music show, and he established a residency at the Brighton Fringe, alongside a sold-out show at Crofters Rights in Bristol for his 7-inch vinyl release. He plans to release a series of 7-inch records this summer, with an autumn tour set to lead into the release of his debut album in early 2019.
