The Screamers were an influential part of the first wave of L.A. punk bands, active from 1977 to 1981. Despite their impact on the scene, the band never released an official recording, though several bootlegs of demos and live performances exist. The lineup included Tomata du Plenty (David Xavier Harrigan) on lead vocals, Tommy Gear on Arp Odyssey and vocals, Keith Barrett on drums, and multiple members contributing to the Fender Rhodes: David Brown, Jeff McGregor (Jeffrey Owen McGregor), and Paul Roessler.
