Sebastian Williams, originally named Roger Williams, was born in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. He began his musical journey with a group called the Quarter Notes, known for their wild R & B rocker "Punkanilla," which was paired with the novelty semi-instrumental "The Interview" and released on RCA in 1958, managed by Sherriff Tex Davis. Over time, the group evolved into the House Rockers, and Williams earned the stage name Sebastian from a promoter during a performance. The band gained popularity in the eastern part of Virginia and caught the attention of Fred Weiss in Richmond, leading to their first recording session in Washington, DC. Williams passed away in May 2005.
