Segundo Bautista, known by his nickname Cieguito due to his blindness, was an Ecuadorian musician born on December 23, 1933, in Salcedo, Cotopaxi. He was a versatile artist skilled in playing the piano, organ, guitar, requinto, bass, and accordion. Bautista was also a prolific composer, having created over 300 songs, and served as an arranger and producer. He led several ensembles, including Trio Sensación and Conjunto "Cuerdas Y Fantasia." He passed away on May 8, 2019, in Quito. Additionally, he had his own music label.
