**Bio: Sensational Saints** The Sensational Saints were a gospel group based in Cleveland, Ohio, active from the 1950s to the 1970s. Formed in the early 1950s under the guidance of Charles Chambliss, who hailed from Tuskegee, Alabama, the group was assembled from individuals discovered in a clothing store, a pool room, and among friends singing from a third-story window. Their first recordings were made in 1962 for Harvey Fuqua and Gwen Gordy's Message label, under the name Sensational Saints of Ohio. A 45 record for Checker followed in 1966. The group found significant success after connecting with Reverend Melvin Kenniebrew at the end of the 1960s. Starting with the 1970 single "I'm Glad He Knows (My Heart)" b/w "Jesus In The Morning," the quartet, which included Kenniebrew, Jimmy Hughes, Albert Chisolm, and Eddie Walker, began to blend traditional gospel with contemporary sounds, drawing inspiration from artists like the Staple Singers, Bill Withers, and Sly and the Family Stone. Their soulful rendition of the negro spiritual “Walk Through The Valley” appeared as the B-side of their second BOS single, while the topical “The War Is Over (My Brother)” was featured on the A-side of their third and final BOS 45. In 1973, the Sensational Saints released their acclaimed LP “You Won’t Believe
