Serge Locat is a Canadian keyboardist and pianist, best known for his three-year tenure with the progressive rock band Harmonium. Before joining Harmonium in August 1974, he supported a prominent artist during her Quebec tour in the early 1970s and led the band Nécessité. His talent caught the attention of Harmonium's band leader while he was recording music for a commercial. Locat contributed to the band's second and third albums but often faced challenges with having his writing contributions accepted. After being denied permission to record a solo album, he left Harmonium in August 1977, although he stayed on until October 1977 to complete a European tour. Following his departure, he spent the next year writing and recording his debut full-length album, "Transfert," which was released in November 1978. He is the brother of two individuals and the father of one.
