Shanir Ezra Blumenkranz, born in 1975 in Brooklyn, NY, is a talented bassist and oud player. He has recorded and performed extensively with various groups, including Cyro Baptista's Banquet of the Spirits, Daniel Zamir's Satlah, Rashanim, Pharaoh's Daughter, and John Zorn. Shanir studied at the Manhattan School of Music and the Rimon School of Music in Israel, and he holds a B.A. in Performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
