Shankar Jaikishan, commonly referred to as S-J, was a renowned Indian composer duo in the Hindi film industry, active from 1949 to 1971. They are celebrated as one of the finest composers in the industry. After their partnership, Shankar continued to work as a solo Music Director, producing music under the Shankar-Jaikishan banner until 1987.
