Peter, known professionally as Shape Navigator, began his recording career in 1994 with Guerilla Records. He was part of the Ska/Punk/dub/Spoken Word duo SaltPeter alongside Salena Godden and is a member of the experimental improvising ensemble Automatic Writing Circle. Peter has composed soundtracks for feature-length documentary films, including 'Sea Point Days' and 'The Mothers' House,' both directed by François Verster, as well as the feature film 'Fun' directed by Rafal Zielinski. As a composer and artist, he has produced work for theatre, film, and installations. His credits include the 35th anniversary version of 'Educating Rita' at The Liverpool Playhouse, 'Juno & The Paycock' at the Bristol Old Vic, and 'The Misanthrope' adapted by Roger McGough from Molière, directed by Gemma Bodinetz. He has also worked on 'A Streetcar Named Desire,' 'Macbeth' starring David Morrissey and Julia Ford at The Everyman in Liverpool, and 'The Swallowing Dark' written by Lizzie Nunnery. His collaborations extend to documentaries by Emmy award-winning director François Verster and various theatre companies, including Peepolykus, John Paul Zaccarini & Company FZ, Caroline Dorfman Dance Company, Big State Theatre Company, Holy Mountain, Gravity & Levity, Wrongsize, and Mother Vision with David Sant.
