Shed Seven is an English indie rock band that originated in York, United Kingdom, in 1990. The band initially split in 2003 but reformed in 2007 for concerts and has been actively recording and releasing new music since 2017. In 2024, they achieved a significant milestone by becoming the 20th act to score two UK No 1 albums in a calendar year, joining notable artists like Abba, Queen, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift. Their albums "A Matter of Time" and "Liquid Gold" topped the charts in January and October 2024, respectively. The band's lineup includes Rick Witter (vocals), Tom Gladwin (bass), Paul Banks (guitar), Tim Wills (keyboards/guitar), and Rob Maxfield (drums). Former members include Alan Leach (drums), Joe Johnson (guitar/keyboards), and Fraser Smith (keyboards).
