Shelagh McDonald is a Scottish folk singer, songwriter, and guitarist, born in 1948 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She released two albums before her abrupt and mysterious disappearance in 1971. After many years of silence, she made contact with the Scottish Daily Mail in 2005 to share the story of her intervening years. In 2013, she returned to public performances and recorded new material for the first time since the early 1970s.
