Shine Grooves, whose real name is Andrey, began his musical journey in early childhood by listening to night radio broadcasts. In 2003, he installed a software sequencer on his computer and recorded his first track, which transformed his musical vision, reminiscent of the early 2000s Kompakt label. He played his first DJ set with vinyl records in 2005, having previously only written music at home. In mid-2008, Andrey and his friend Dmitry Kazantsev launched a digital label that featured albums from artists like Lazzich, Frunk29, and Modul. By 2010, he had created a studio filled with digital and analog synthesizers, and in 2012, he established his own vinyl-only label. In addition to his main project, Andrey produces music under various aliases, focusing on dance techno/house music and experimental minimal sound. He is involved in several electronic collaborations, which emphasize live performances of experimental and ambient music. In 2020, Andrey launched a new label to release non-commercial music on vinyl.
