Short Term Memory is an experimental art rock/electronic group based in the greater Kansas City area, with a history spanning from 1983 to 1993. The core members during much of this period were Jim Skeel and Jon Paul, although the group featured various lineups and style changes, including contributions from Robert Duckworth, Kevin Dooley, Cat Cooper, Jill Fetterman, Max Maksimik, Robin Zeplin, and Tim Higgins, along with multiple guest appearances and collaborators from the Kansas City music scene. In 2014, Skeel began uploading the group's archive of released and unreleased material to Bandcamp, a project that continued as recently as September 2023.
