Shorty Rogers, born Milton Adelstein on April 14, 1924, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, was an American jazz trumpeter, composer, arranger, and bandleader. He passed away on November 7, 1994, at the age of 70 in Van Nuys, California. Throughout his career, Rogers collaborated with various artists and led his own jazz groups. He also worked as a producer and writer, teaming up with others for numerous productions, particularly in the late 1960s. Additionally, he is recognized for arranging and conducting several records and for his contributions to soundtracks.
